Good script

I appreciated this tale of an ex soldier, war hero, who finds many difficulties to find a place in society, and who finally becomes involved with gangland. The actor - whom I don't know - is not very convincing here, so shame. They could have taken dozens of actors better than this one, no doubt about that. It's A dark tale, but also talking of friendship among men, doughboys. It remains a solid gangster tale, with the foreseeable gunfight at the end. One gripping final sequence, very tense, that almost made me weep.

I don't know the director's filmography very well because he mostly worked for TV industry.
