Trivia

Ice's method of changing into her costume by covering herself in sheet of ice then breaking out is identical to how Iceman transforms in cartoon series Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (1981). See more »

Goofs

Darkseid's henchmen were interrupted from their personal battle at the end of "Alive!", but they were not summoned into the battle, which would have made sense since otherwise there seems to be no point that they were readied to do so. See more »

Quotes

Batman: Okay, let's get these people locked up. Sounds like we've got a fight on our hands.
Giganta: If you think you're locking us up while the whole world is under attack, you got two fights on your hands.
[the Leaguers and Legionnaires stare each other down, ready to fight]
Batman: She's right. We'll need all the bodies we can throw at this.
Superman: Oh, come on! It's Lex Flippin' Luthor! Why should we trust him?
Atomic Skull: Hey, it's our world too!
Lex Luthor: Let's be clear about this: we're not here to help you save the world, you're here to help...

This was a very good finale to the series. So, Darkseid lays siege to Earth, and the Justice League must join forces with villains to fend him off. The highlight of the episode was seeing Superman let loose. It gets into some serious Man of Steel-level destruction, but I guess it's more acceptable because it's animated? I don't know. Not important right now. Everybody gets their day in the sun. My one complaint isn't actually with this episode; it's with season 5 as a whole. Darkseid only really shows up at the back half of the season, so when we see him get pounded into the dirt, it doesn't have as much payoff. If he was built up better, this episode may be a perfect 10.
