After seeing a troupe of Romanian quintuplet acrobats perform at Cirque de Cheville, the boys decide to form a circus troupe of their own. That night, however, the five girls and their grandmother sneak out of the circus and end up at Stan's house hoping to defect to the United States. After the girls' grandmother dies (following a night of heavy romance with Stan's grandfather), the boys convince them to stay in America while the Romanian government pressures the US to send them back. Meanwhile, Kenny tries to become a singer for the circus and ends up traveling to Romania as a musical sensation. Written by Jean-Marc Rocher <>

Anyone remember Elian?
5 April 2009 | by (Topeka,Kansas,USA) – See all my reviews

South Park has both a great talent(and weakness for)playing with the current events of the day. Around the time this show was aired,Cuabn raft survivor Elain Gonzalez was being haggled between the U.S. Government and the Cuabn Government over who should have custody of the boy(I forgot his age,but I believe he was six or younger):Elian's relatives in Miami or his dad, back in Cuba. The real story has little Elian returned to Cuba, and indeed, one scene involving Kenny McCormack(as a singing sensation in Romania)getting trapped in a closet by rampaging fed troops mirrors almost exactly a AP Hpoto of the little boy being forcibly taken from his folks! A funny and somewhat politically ambivalent episode. maybe not one of their best, but sly and memorable all the same.
