Homer Versus Bart!
6 January 2015 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is the fourteenth episode of the fourth season of the Simpsons. It's not as funny as other episodes, but the drama side is very good. The episode shows despite all the pranks Bart pulls, he is truly in need of a caring father and this episode has Bart and Homer at odds with each other. There are some funny moments, especially the fistfight we see near the end.

In this episode, "Brother from the Same Planet," Homer of course forgets to pick up Bart from soccer practice, thus making Bart very mad. In his anger, Bart applies to a social service as an orphan and receives a "Big Brother" in return. When Homer finds out, Homer applies as a "Big Brother" just to spite Bart.

Overall, this is a good episode that certainly has a flair for the dramatic. I have never seen Homer as angry as we see him in this episode, so that was interesting to watch. It's also cool to see Homer participate in a fistfight and actually do something right in that fight. This is a solid episode. I rate this episode 9/10.
