Storyline

Gordon managed to annoy the Rotarians at a dinner to the extent that they set his feet in concrete. He enlists the help of private consultant Graham Hanson to investigate if the constant aggravation in the leisure center -no doubt his work- is the result of a syndrome attributed to the building. But he himself falls victim to Gordon's inverse Midas touch. Carole is horrified to discover there's a mouse, and worse, her baby Ben prefers its company to hers. Laura manages to teach Gordon how to read between the lines of female 'considerate' responses, and he sorts out the anniversary present fiasco. Alas he also assumes that the advice from Laura applies to men! Written by KGF Vissers

The Hilarious Episode With Brittas In Cement
17 September 2006 | by See all my reviews

Thru another series of events, Brittas has crossed someone else and they countered by putting his feet in a block of cement with the intention of throwing him in the river.

Colin or Laura must carry Gordon around the center during an evaluation on a two wheeler.

Finally, Laura manages to get Brittas to listen for once.

"Mr. Brittas, I have to talk to you." "Not now, Laura, I have to . . . . I have to . . . " But all he can do is listen. He is a captive audience.

Laura manages to get Brittas to get rid of Helen's mo-ped that he had bought for her in the previous episode.

This might be considered a copycat of Lucille Ball's episode when she had her foot stuck in cement in the John Wayne episode, but Brittas behavior is so different.

He is completely oblivious to what the cement means and does some hysterical leans while behind his desk with no regard to how it looks.

However the best is yet to come.
