Quotes

Dan Conner: I had this recurring dream in broad daylight. I had this mug with a little airplane design on it and every time I'd drink from it, the engine would start up and it would get closer. And I swear this is true, the propeller went up my nose.
Roseanne Conner: You're scary.

Nightmare on Oak Street (#1.15)

In this episode Darlene gets her period. And her and her parents need to deal with it.

A great episode on this topic. Getting the first period is a big deal and a lot of stress for a girl. And Darlene was a great choice for it as she is a tomboy. Her being upset about not being able to play sports anymore and to "throw like a girl" was very realistic. And I love how Roseanne handled it. This episode came out in late 80's but it has such a feminist message. That she can keep on being herself and nobody will force her to dress up and shave her legs.

It was also pretty fun to see Dan trying to deal with it. So awkward and yet funny. DJ's appearance in this scene was also hilarious. Connors are a great family.
