Storyline

Joe Don Baker, clad in stereotypical cowboy garb tracks down an Italian mobster on the island of Malta. Meanwhile, Tom's dissatisfaction with the Yes song "Owner of a Lonely Heart" leads to the question of how it stacks up against everything else in the world. In Castle Forrester, Pearl tries to promote a loose work environment to increase productivity but her whimsy only makes the SOL feel sad and achy. The lack of continuity in the first portion of the movie resorts in the Bots complaining to Pearl while Mike demonstrates their point by tripping uncontrollably. Goosio then decides to visit the SOL as a good will ambassador but the Bots hate cute with a vengeance. Crow later presents his report on the island of Malta, which starts with basic facts and leads to a hatred fueled rant about how much Crow hates Maltese men. Trivia

This episode is notable for the relentless mocking of Joe Don Baker, particularly regarding his weight and hygiene. The reason why the mockery directed at him was so merciless was due to Baker's hostile reaction to MST3K's treatment of his film Mitchell (1975) during a previous episode. The skewering of this film was the writers' revenge against him. See more »

Hilarious!

Deep down, I know that Joe Don Baker's probably a good guy, and sometimes (some) I feel kinda bad for laughing so often at his expense. But when MST3K takes jabs at this guy, it's shamefully entertaining stuff. They're just mean, but hell if it isn't funny. Let's face it, "Final Justice" is a flat-out turkey, with Baker's low-rent Texas lawman traveling to Malta in pursuit of a mobster. If that doesn't already sound absurd, tack on some awful music and that ridiculous costume, and Baker's just asking for it. Honestly, just hearing Mike and the bots add in the bodily noises sound effects makes for enough laughs, but the whole thing is a wicked burn.
