Worth your time.

A con game is going on where a seemingly nice old guy (Percy Helton) is pretending that a worthless mine contains gold. Previously, a geologist assayed the rocks from the mine and found they contained gold. However, when he later checked again, there was nothing--and he thinks the old guy or one of his confederates did something to salt the samples (i.e., add minute traces of gold to make them appear valuable). So, it's up to the Captain (Reed Hadley) to pose as a geologist to see if Mr. Miller would try this again. And, if he does, catch him in the act.

Apart from a dumb sequence where the baddies got the gun from the detective near the end of the film (this made no sense), it's an enjoyable show. Not brilliant but worth seeing and interesting....as well as unique.
