In Nazareth, teenager Mary is betrothed to the local carpenter, Joseph. I hadn't planned on seeing the movie after work today. It was a last minute thing. I had no preconceived notions and had read no reviews. For my family it was a nice and simple rendering of the story that is celebrated by Christians this time of year. It's a story that I am very familiar with, but the portrayal connected a few dots that I hadn't gotten after hearing the story all of these years.
For all of you who have a difficult time getting into the proper Christmas mood, this might help you get separated from the hustle and bustle of shopping madness. It did for me and will be a must see at Christmas time each and every year.
