This is where the season really took a big swing. Kucha had been pretty strong in winning three of the last four immunity challenges. ALso they had just devastated Ogakor by beating them in yet another reward challenge. WIth a six to five member advantage it appeared that they would win another immunity challenge and take a six member to five member advantage and then just eliminate all of the Ogakor members one by one. THen the incident happened. Mike got his hands burned badly in a campfire and had to be evacuated and this left the tribes even. Kucha then would get picked off instead. Many people wonder what would have happened if Mike had not got burned but I wonder about something else. WHat in the world was Mike doing so close to the fire? Why did he need to inhale the smoke and pass out? He should have been way more careful. Overall though this is an interesting episode and one that I will never forget, seeing Mike's hands in a state of meltedness is horrifying and tragic, he was a good guy perfectly adept at living outdoors. It is sad that he had to leave that way and no doubt after he left it "burned" all of Kuchas hopes of taking an advantage into the merge and eliminating all of the Ogakor members. Well I will say that Mike leaving did make the show more interesting, who wanted to see Kucha just eliminate all of the Ogakor members? GOing into the merge with even tribes made it anyones game.
