Storyline

Carlos and Gabrielle decide to adopt, but the process comes to be a lot more difficult than either had expected when they find out they have to be perfect roll models. But things get even worse when they find out that John Rowland's vindictive mother, Helen, is an employee of the agency. Susan checks herself into the hospital for her surgery, but she makes the mistake of confiding in a nurse about her infatuation with Dr. Ron. Meanwhile, a showdown between Bree and Andrew leads to a full out war between mother and son when the twisted Andrew plots to become legally emaciated from his mother so he can set eyes on his trust fund, and he resorts to having his boyfriend, James, beat him up and then hires a lawyer to claim that Bree attacked him. Also, the dying Noah Taylor attempts to have Paul Young killed, but when the attempt is unsuccessful, Zach persuades Mike to let him meet his biological grandfather. In "Thank You So Much" Valentine's day was on a Saturday or Sunday. In this episode, They are showing Bree marking her chores off a calendar for February and March 2006. The calendar matches the real calendar and Valentine's day was a Tuesday this year. The calendar doesn't match their previous episode. And they do state that "today is Valentine's day." not that they are celebrating it on the weekend. See more »

Quotes

Bree: Perception is reality, Andrew. And if people perceive me to have a drinking problem, then I do. And I certainly don't want some idiotic judge using my hobby as an excuse to make you rich. So I'm simply going to give up my wine and become a recovering alcoholic.
Andrew Van De Kamp: Good plan, but it'll never work. See, I'll bet you still end up coming to court hammered.
Bree: Oh, Andrew, you don't think I love you enough to give up alcohol?
Andrew Van De Kamp: Look, I'm seventeen, all right? So, you can only keep me here for another year. ...

Funny But Serious
5 April 2014 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

In There Is No Other Way,Carlos and Gabrielle decide to adopt.Too bad that the process comes to be a lot more difficult which neither of them expected. Then a showdown occurs between Bree and her son,Andrew which leads to a lot of tension and a strained relationship. As for Tom,he is experiencing a lot more difficulty in job that he expected as compared to the problems presented to him by Lynette and his kids. Finally,we finally get to see Susan undergo surgery when she now has a medical insurance.

This was definitely a funny episode with a lot of seriousness in it.We get to see the frustration between Gabby and Carlos about wanting to have a baby. One can certainly feel that the former wants to have one despite the fact of not wanting to deliver one.As for Bree,we get to see her reconsider her drinking problem especially now that it has definitely got her into a war with his son. Also,we get to see Tom get to realize that difficulties at work are not comparable to the difficulties given to him by his family for his work definitely don't compare with them.We now see that problems presented by your family aren't really problems for you really care for them and are a big part of your life unlike an employer who is just there for money making. Finally,we also get to see how Susan use people that love her for the sake of meeting her needs. One would somewhat be offended by her characte.
