Mariah Carey Posts Cryptic Tweet of Support for Ex-Husband Nick Cannon

26 February 2017 4:10 PM, PST | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

They may be exes, but Mariah Carey still has Nick Cannon's back.

The pop diva shared a somewhat cryptic tweet on Sunday, addressing "false allegations looming in the press," and expressing her continuing support for Cannon.

"There's no validity to the false allegations looming in the press regarding our family," the text image reads. "Nick is the father of my children, we will always stand up for each other, have each other's backs and we will always remain a strong family."

While it's not absolutely clear what stories the "Butterfly" singer is referring to, it is plausibly a response to a rumored National Enquirer article alleging that she is so concerned over Cannon's mental health that she is considering suing him for full custody of their children, 5-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

Future of Nick Cannon’s ‘Caught on Camera’ Up in the Air at NBC

20 February 2017 2:39 PM, PST | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

Nick Cannon swears he’s not returning to “America’s Got Talent,” contract be damned, but what about his other NBC show? The future of “Caught on Camera With Nick Cannon” is still undecided at the network level, TheWrap has learned. And even if the multi-hyphenate isn’t currently burning his bridge with NBC executives, the economics of more episodes may not work out. That’s not necessarily because of how much third-year series “Caught on Camera” costs — any first-year Accounting major knows strong revenue can offset some bills. Unfortunately, the plug-and-play series has managed just a 0.7 Nielsen rating among adults 18-49 thus. »

The comedian and musician sat down with Frankie Grande and Rachel Smith on Amazon's Style Code Live on Thursday, where he opened up about his amiable relationship with his ex-wife and their 5-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, and how he remains a big part of their lives.

The 36-year-old TV personality said that he and Carey have been able to "embrace" their co-parenting responsibilities and having their kids grow up in an "unorthodox household."

"[They] know, 'You don't get to see daddy every single day,'… but [they] understand that daddy's presence is felt every single day," Cannon said. "On the weekends, we tear up Chuck E. Cheese's."

As for how he makes his post-split relationship with Carey work, Cannon said, "It's all about love."

Not so fast, Nick Cannon, you’re still under contract at “America’s Got Talent” — and quitting just may not be in the (cue) cards. The “Agt” host and all four judges re-upped their NBC deals last August, when the talent show was busy dominating summer 2016’s TV ratings boards. That whole disparagement clause in his contract is a pretty standard one, TheWrap is told, »
