Sometimes you come across a celebrity and you wonder, what does he actually do? That's the question people have asked of AMerica's Got Talent host Nick Cannon. No one's ever debated his talent and potential appeal, but it doesn't seem like it's been deployed properly. Is it possible at Cannon could find his voice playing another famously misappropriated talent? USA Today has been tracking a bunch of bread crumbs Nick Cannon has been leaving all over the internet in regards to playing Richard Pryor in a biopic. Sal Gonzalez, 29, who lives in Nashville but grew up in Los Angeles, earned "yes" votes and praise for not only his singing but his work with the Wounded Warrior Project, in which he helps other injured veterans re-adjust to life back home. "You are very, very inspirational … You can sing!" judge Mel B said after Gonzalez delivered a soulful rendition of the Bill Withers Grammy Award-winning classic "Ain't No Sunshine. »

1. Melanie Janine Brown was born in Harehills, Leeds on May 29, 1975. Melanie was raised on a council estate by her English mother Andrea, and her Nevisian father Martin, who both encouraged the budding singer to follow her dreams.
Those dreams, however, didn't involve school, as Melanie explained: "I didn't do that well in school, let's put it that way. I was more focused on singing or wanting to go out »

The singer told Digital Spy that her former Spice Girls bandmate is "the best person for the job".
The 'Feels So Good' singer previously appeared as a guest judge on the 2012 series. She has also judged on the Australian version of the show, as well as America's Got Talent.

Mel B was confirmed as the fourth X Factor judge this morning - but it's not going to be her first go at starring on a Simon Cowell show. Not only did she pop up as a guest on The X Factor UK back in 2012, but she was a fixture of the Australian version show, too - and she's on America's Got Talent.
With that in mind, we figured that we could probably work out what kind of judge she's going to be by poring over old footage (or, er, spending all morning on YouTube.) Read on for 10 things we can expect when Mel B joins The X Factor...
1. Performances of classic Spice Girls songs.
Right, so we're sold already. Admittedly, this was when Mel was just a guest mentor on the Australian X Factor, but it's bloody amazing. She joins the top five for a virtuoso performance of 'Stop' - which, »

Mel B has been rumoured as the fourth judge for some time, following her experience as a guest judge in 2012.
"I'm so excited to be joining The X Factor - I loved being a guest judge back in 2012," she said.
"I've always thought honesty is the best policy when being a judge and that's what I'm going to bring more of this year - whether it's spotting an incredible singer, giving someone a reality check or debating with Simon over who's got it wrong! »
The singer, who was previously a guest judge on the show in 2012, has reportedly signed a £1 million deal to be part of the series, with the news to be announced officially by ITV tomorrow (June 11).
The first X Factor auditions are to begin next Monday (June 16) in Manchester.
Cowell revealed to Digital Spy earlier this month that the fourth X Factor judge was "settled" and that it would be "a girl".
He also commented on reports of friction between Cole and Walsh, »
The America's Got Talent audition train rolls on Tuesday, and thanks to brief layovers in Napville and Coffee Junction, I am alert and ready to ride. But first, we all must pay the Howard Stern Troll Toll. The fare? Your soul. Mwahahaha. Or two hours of your time, at least.
Unless you're DVRing. Then it's like $1.35. Or if you're just reading, because, I dunno, you love Tim Duncan or have a life or something, then you're free, and I'll take the dive for you. But Lord knows I'll see you on the other side. »
Well folks, America's Got Talent's second night of auditions was filled with singing, acrobatting, card-tossing, motor cross stunting, praying, jumping, tapping and baby rapping. Some of the best entertainment involved our judges Heidi Klum who let a magician swipe her bra, Howie Mandel who got a cranial lobotomy via magical massage, and both Howie and Howard Stern who demonstrate their dancing prowess after mere moments of tutelage by an amazing male salsa team, David Leeman. It was good entertainment, folks, and we learned that Howie dances like Martin Short. That was a gas.
As my esteemed colleague Bill pointed out in his recap, there was considerable talent in this Agt auditi-sode. While I'm with Bill on the quality of last nights performances, I didn't think even its best selections topped the premiere's soul sister operatic singers Acte II, sympathetic singer Jaycob Curlee, and dynamic digital dancers Blue Journey. That being said, »
America's Got Talent is back on NBC tonight (June 3, 2014) what acts will be sent through to the next round by the judges and who will be eliminated tonight? Keep in mind that say it is a one time deal for each judge for each season. Only Howie, Heidi and Mel B. can now save an act with only one vote going forward. Last week was the season premiere of Agt for the summer of 2014. The judges saw a wide variety opt acts, including a 9-year-old piano player and a 93-year-old strongman who pulled a car with his teeth See who made itch through to the next round of the competition here. Nick Cannon is »
The music mogul - who is returning to the panel along with Cheryl Cole and Louis Walsh - told Digital Spy at the Health Lottery tea party today that he has a verbal agreement with a female star to become a judge.
The X Factor: Could these four judges save the show?
"We've settled on someone," he said. "We are going to make an announcement this week.
"We've decided... [but] we haven't got the contract signed yet. It's going to be a girl."
Elsewhere, Cowell commented on reports of friction between Cole and Walsh, saying: "They don't get on great, »
