Hulu is keeping its Eye open.
The streamer has handed out a second season renewal to drama Shut Eye, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. John Shiban (Hell on Wheels, Da Vinci's Demons) will take over as showrunner, replacing David Hudgins (Friday Night Lights), for the drama's 10-episode second season.
For his part, Shiban will reunite with exec producers Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein after collaborating with the duo on AMC's Breaking Bad. Sources note Shiban signed an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. Telltale Games along with Marvel Entertainment have released the first images along with cast details for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, set to premiere digitally this Spring on consoles, PC, and mobile devices.
The series will feature a star-studded cast of voice talent, including Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot.

The “How I Met Your Mother” alum will play the head of the drama department, based on real-life high school drama teacher Lou Volpe. The pilot is inspired by Volpe’s life, centering around the incredible students who come alive under a passionate teacher and family man whose dedication to the program galvanizes the entire town.
Radnor’s character is named Lou Mazzuchelli, described as a left of center leading man who has to discover his own passion, drive and charisma. He is a father of three, husband and an English teacher at a school in a rust belt town in Pennsylvania, who decides to take a leap on taking over the drama department and it ignites an excitement in him which surprises him and spreads to his students.

Following YouTube’s announcement in October that a sci-fi action series from Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson’s production company, Seven Bucks, was in the works for subscription service Red, the video giant has now released casting details for the project, which is titled Lifeline.
Zach Gilford of Friday Night Lights and The Purge: Anarchy will star as Conner Hooks, alongside Sydney Park (The Walking Dead). Lifeline, which will consist of eight half-hour episodes, is about a group of insurance agents who are sent into the future to prevent the accidental deaths of their clients. Gilford plays a top insurance agent who has never missed a save, until Park’s character, a sixteen-year-old orphan, is put on his watch.
