Storyline

Jimmy Edwards, the fat high school student who got roughed up because of his vicious time capsule video, repeatedly shoots a gun at school; coach orders everyone outside on the bus, but Nathan and Lucas go in since Haley is among the kids inside, who don't realize the madman is Jimmy, sitting right next to them. Lucas finds Peyton shivering alone, unable to walk because of a leg wound. Quotes

reporter: I'm here with student council president Brooke Davis. Brooke can you put into words how you might be feeling about this tragedy?
Brooke: You should be ashamed of yourself. There are kids inside our school fearing for their lives right now, terrified that someone's gonna put a gun in their face and pull the trigger and you want to know how I'm feeling? Our pain is not a commodity for you. It's not a news bite to boost your ratings because tomorrow or the next day or the next week when we go back to ...

Wow

This show was so sad, however it really upset me because it was "ripped from the headlines" and at the time, the headline it was ripped from was my school. So even though I feel that it is an important topic, it could have been covered in a better way, or at least it should have had a Long message in the end. Because if anything it is merely suggesting to students a new way of accomplishing something. Also i feel as though the show cared more about the ratings and the number of viewers then they cared about the viewers that this would upset. At my school the kids playing this type of attack were arrested, but what about the other kids from the other schools that were not so lucky, how do you think they felt when the turned on the TV for their weekly does of One Tree Hill?
