In the episode ". . . There's Fire," Denny Crane (William Shatner) is discussing moving to Hawaii with his new bride. He says, "What am I supposed to do? Beam myself to Boston every day?" This is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Shatner's well-known role as "Star Trek"'s Captain Kirk, who was often "beamed" from starship to planet and back again.
