One of Globo's bests

"Paginas da Vida" is a very interesting soap opera that lasted for around 8 months, to the release of the new soap opera that will premiere next Monday (March 5th). Anyway, "Paginas da Vida", translated to English would be titled "Pages of Our Lives" or "Diary of Life", but anyway, it is really about life. I think it's one of Globo TV's best soap operas because the story is far closer to real life than some of it's predecessors. The highlights of it is the subplot involving the twins: Clara and Francisco, separated at birth, due to the evil grandmother (Lilia Cabral) who didn't want Clara because she got down syndrome. The best actors at the soap opera are the little boy who plays Francisco, the girl who plays Clara, Marcos Caruso who plays the protective grandfather of the twins and Regina Duarte who plays the kind Dr. Elena, who legally adopt Clara. Actress Ana Paula Arosio (who plays Olivia) is a vision, but she plays such a silly and dump role in here. Another big surprise was the soap opera debut of Grazi, one of the girls in "Big Brother Brazil 6" who plays the innocent country girl who goes to work with her mother at Tide's (Tarcisio Meira) mansion located on a Rio de Janeiro hilltop and she falls in love with the owner's younger son.

It's so sad that such a great soap opera is coming to the end, but, I hope they replay it soon or do a sequel.
