Storyline

A Hudson University co-ed dependent on financial aid is found murdered with an unexplained influx of cash. Her wealthy roommate is found with one of her rings, making her a suspect as the two were not friends. Benson, Fin, and Stabler have several theories about her murderer and their motive and investigate the various suspects; the roommate, her childhood friend, and someone connected to a heavily trafficked website where the victim was selling term papers for cash. Quotes

Agent Tom Cole: [leaving the precinct with Kersten] You'll be lucky if my client doesn't press charges.
Doug Kersten: My lawyer will be seeing the police commissioner tomorrow. Why don't you go solve a real crime instead of bothering an honest businessman?
Det. Elliot Stabler: Take it easy there, tough guy.
Doug Kersten: Don't even talk to me, ass wipe. You picked the wrong guy to mess with.
Odafin Tutuola: Running a casino is illegal.
Doug Kersten: Who's running a casino? I was entertaining friends.
[Cole and Kersten walk into the elevator]
Doug Kersten: Atrium, 56th and 5th. 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Education's high cost
27 July 2013 | by See all my reviews

The SVU squad gets to investigate the murder of a college coed who not having some rich parents has to raise tuition money any way she can. As the squad investigates they finds that the victim was selling term papers on line and also doing a little high stakes gambling as well.

Eventually Benson, Stabler and Tutuola settle on Will Estes, a childhood friend of the victim who has similar financial problems. Estes is also reaching for the moon in other ways. He's going out with the victim's roommate Trieste Kelly Dunn who is one high maintenance girl. It's what leads to his downfall.

Both Dunn and Estes shine in this SVU episode. The cost of education is certainly high, too high for some.
