I just can't understand the rating system for IMDb. Although THE RETURN OF LAURA PETERS currently has 26 ratings and 15 of those are 10s, somehow the overall average is calculated at only 2.7?! I don't don't get this--especially since it's such a nice little film. My advice is to ignore the rating and see this film.
The film begins with a completely insane Oakland Raiders fan talking about her life. She is the most devoted fan any sport has ever seen. Her life is 100% devoted to her team. And, despite this, she manages to find a nice husband who is willing to put up with and even encourage her strange addiction. Yet oddly, after an accident, she is left unable to take up where she left. Is this the end? Can her Michael Jeter look-a-like husband get her back on track? See this sweet and funny little romantic film to find out for yourself. It's worth it.
