Anyone who loves animals will be riveted by this story of the little zoo on the Gulf coast of Alabama that endured Hurricane Ivan.
You're there from the initial decision to move 250+ animals 20 miles inland to the Zoo director's property, through their anxious vigil during and immediately after the storm, to their sad return to the devastated 17 acre facility. Along the way, you get to know the 28 staff members and many of the animals upfront and personal, including Chuckie, the 1200 pound alligator who received international attention as they searched for him after the storm.
A masterful, touching documentary!
