This guy is one of the reasons the Daily Show even exists. He was lead writer and has won many awards - including Peabodys and at least one Emmy as far as I know, and his intelligence comes through in his hysterical stand-up. I've seen him a few times at Comedy Connection and he is absolutely brilliant at working the crowd. He's also been in front of the camera on the Daily Show, on VH1's flashback shows, and has his show on Sirius Satellite Radio (Mob Rule with Paul Mecurio) and he was also just featured in a raving review/interview in November 2005 Penthouse - with the interview highlighted on the cover. This Comedy Central show is an absolute riot. It's from 2004 and contains the Osama Bin Laden gem, and the stories about his crazy mother are an absolute riot. If you like stand-up, you've got to see Paul. Get in early so you can say you knew him when. He's also apparently in the running for Comedy Central's Top 20 Comedians so you're probably going to be seeing a lot more of this guy.
