"Batman meets Zorro"

This episode might not be the greatest Zorro story ever told, but it is a nice bit of fun for comic book fans.

At one point, Zorro gives away his secret identity to "Professor Wayne" (the name-play obvious, especially with the character being played by Adam West). Zorro even shows Professor Wayne his secret underground lair (where he hides his horse Toronado--that poor stallion never seems to get out in the sun much!). The Professor comments that having a cave as a secret headquarters for fighting a battle for justice is a wonderful idea.

Oh, well... just sit back and enjoy the superhero references...

Adam West Back or Forward in Time?

A series with an overall rating of 4 is hard pressed to pull off a good episode. This episode is still the same Family Channel Zorro whose swash doesn't buckle, but Adam West pulls the rating up.

The scene in which Zorro blindfolds Henry Wayne, Adam West, to take him to and show him Zorro's cave is a good one. A little batman style music plays. Wayne comments what a good idea it is for a person fighting for justice to have a laboratory in a hidden cave.

Wayne's trap for Zorro is clever.

The balloon idea to track Zorro is clever.

Henry Darrow as Don Alejandro is a nice replacement. But he's not in this episode other than in the credits.

Same old New Zorro, but Adam West rides in to save the day. But is he back in time? Zorro was set in the 1800's. Batman (1960's) was set in the 1960's. But Batman was made in the 60's while Adam appeared in this series of the 90's. It's a glimpse of Adam West in the Batman series' future, but Henry Wayne in the Batman character's past.

The meeting of the peaks

I think all the fans know about the meeting of Dr Wayne, Adam West, with Zorro of the 90s.

A drifting inventor was given the mission to trap Zorro but after his failure was taken to Zorro's hideout.

Wayne is impressed by his laboratory and Zorro declares he has great respect for scientific endeavour as long as it is used for progress and not suppression... In the wrong hands can wreak havoc...... So this is the only time that Batman and his model, Zorro were met somehow.....
