A thoroughgoing rat
9 January 2017 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

Cesar Romero as a gambler accused of robbing a stagecoach and killing the driver is being transported to a different venue for a trial as the town where he's incarcerated in has feeling running high against him. With a wounded sheriff not able to do the job he entrusts it to young Burt Reynolds and amiable town drunk Peter Whitney to do the job.

Romero protests his innocence all the way and he's got sweet young Ruta Lee believing him and a pair of cowboys who do want to free him.

Romero does a well done portrayal of a thoroughgoing rat and this is an opportunity for his fans to see a young Burt Reynolds. He acquits himself well in the part.
