As far as Xena episodes go, I have to say this is one of the best. With the switching of "bodies" and therefore roles, Lucy Lawless and Hudson Leick both prove themselves as sensational actresses. As a long-time Xena fan, the thought of someone other than Lucy playing Xena just sounds absurd to me but Hudson does it beautifully. I never doubt for a second that either of these women aren't exactly who they're supposed to be playing - if the writers ever wanted to change actresses, this was their chance (luckily they didn't). Lucy plays the shrewd unhinged Callisto to a tee, and Hudson embraces all the strength and self-assurance of Xena perfectly.
