Storyline

With his main informant dead and the X Files shut down, Mulder finds himself reassigned to regular FBI duties. He is convinced he's being followed and his conversations listened in on. Mulder soon vanishes and heads to Puerto Rico where the giant radio communications dish at Arecibo was recently shut down. There he finds evidence and has a close encounter but Scully has tracked him down and they manage to escape just as the military arrives. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

If you look closely at the papers that both Mulder and Scully print out with the "contact" information on them, one column reads "10.13" over and over again. "10-13" is the name of Chris Carter's production company as well as his birthday (October 13, 1956). See more »

Goofs

In the "Pilot", Mulder reveals his sister "disappeared out of her bed one night... no note, no phone calls, no evidence of anything" and that, thanks to hypnosis, he recalls "a bright white light and a presence in the room" and that he was "paralyzed, unable to respond to his sister's calls for help". However, according to the flashback in "Little Green Men", Samantha was in the living room with Fox, not in her bedroom. See more »

After the exciting finale of season one the x-files returns in season two with the same level of excitement. With the x-files closed down and the two agents reassigned to other areas Mulder's belief in the truth is fast beginning to fade. However when Senator Richard Matheson gives him a new reason to believe he risks his life by going alone to Puerto Rico.Scully has to get to him and fast.ASlso in this episode Skinner begins to develop his true character by being resistant to the cigarette smoking man.He obviously dosen't share his love of cigarettes!A great return for the second series and providing the scene for many great more episodes to come
