With a script evidently based on the 1951 film The Day the East Stood Still, this double episode is brilliant and chilling. The Council of Planets sends an emissary to Earth to warn that if we humans continue our warlike behavior they will have no choice but to destroy us before we ourselves bring destruction to the rest of the planets. There is nothing funny or camp here, everything is done in a very serious way. The Nazis believe that Andros is a scientist and kidnap him hoping to use his knowledge to make atomic weapons. All of this is observed by the members of the Planetary Council who are preparing to destroy Earth if Andros is attacked. Both Tim O'Connor and Scott Hylandas are brilliant in their performances, we also have an important participation of both General Blankenship and Etta Candy, the dialogues are amazingly good in this episode, the action scenes in the Library of Congress is colossal, the settings , the music, the story, everything is really good here, an episode to sit back with a box of popcorn to enjoy.
