The FBI investigates the disappearance of Josh Abrams, a young and idealistic science teacher who had a large quantity of heroin in his apartment. As they learn more about him, they find that he was particularly caring and would frequently take a special interest in students in trouble. He took on a drug dealer to get him to distribute his drugs elsewhere and went to a student's home where a violent father gave his daughter a black eye. They also learn that he was extremely rich, which proves to be one of the reasons he has disappeared. Written by garykmcd

Jack Malone: Look, the life she's leaving behind isn't much better with that father and that brother. What do you want to do, put her in a foster home?
Samantha: [softly] She's just a kid.
