The agents investigate the disappearance of Claire Hunter, a prep school teacher who was last seen at her gym the previous evening. She'd had a confrontation with a man at the gym who claims to have seen her subsequently getting into a car. Claire was well respected at her school and always went the extra mile as far as the students went. She had just broken up with her boyfriend Pete a fireman but that proves to be a dead end. When one of her 15 year-old students runs off with her, they can't help but wonder is they're having a relationship. It proves to be far more complicated than that with Claire having to come to terms with the parental abuse she suffered as a child and which her student now faces. Written by garykmcd

The agents refer to the "Freehold Exit" and "Toms River Exit" of the New Jersey Turnpike. The New Jersey Turnpike does not run near either town nor have exits named after them. The toll road that runs along the New Jersey shoreline past these two towns is the Garden State Parkway. See more »

There's a scene in the show with Elena and Sam in their office. Sam is checking out information on the computer about Claire's father. Elena then asks her if she has the surveillance picture of Claire and Ray pumping gas. Since this photo was supposed to be taken in Freehold, New Jersey, it is something that would not have happened. It is illegal to pump your own gas in the state of New Jersey. Add to that that Elena goes and gets a map of New Jersey and proceeds to claim that Freehold is only three exits away from Toms River, again, if you take the most direct route it would be on Route 9 and there are no exits on this highway. If you were to take the Garden State Parkway, then it would be more like 7 exits from one to the other. Somebody didn't do their homework about New Jersey.
