This is the second and last appearance of Sid Royce's wife, Allison, played by Holland Taylor. In episode 105, she was played by actress Elaine Church. The episode immediately before this one featured the second appearance of Frank McPike's wife, Jenny, played by Elizabeth Ruscio. She was also a replacement for the original Jenny, Jessica Harper.
The shoe store that Sid Royce (a.k.a. Elvis Prim) works in is called "Sport Shoes". This is a bit of an inside joke, as Frank McPike sarcastically called many criminals "Sport Shoes" throughout the run of the show.
McPike is told over the phone "Elvis has left Bettendorf". This is an obvious pun of the well-known announcement at the end of Elvis Presley's concerts "Elvis has left the building".
