Storyline

Agents West and Gordon are engaged to rescue an Indian Chief's abducted daughter before the Indians retaliate. The agents learn that the miniature Dr. Miguelito Loveless, responsible for the kidnapping, has a plan to rule a land of little people, with the help of a powder he invented to reduce the size of people. During the rescue mission, Loveless shrinks Jim and the Indian Princess to a height of six inches, leaving them to defend themselves from the mad doctor's now gigantic cat. Written by Anonymous

Goofs

West slides down the slide after passing the mouse trap, as he enters the hole his suit is blue. As he proceeds down the slide his suit is green and when he exits the slide his suit is blue again. This is because the slide scene is simply reused from the previous episode (The Wild Wild West: The Night of the Golden Cobra), except the original had West sliding from the upper-right to lower-left of the screen - so the scene was flipped for this episode. The Incredible Shrinking West
15 October 2012 | by (Sarasota, FL) – See all my reviews

If a series produced prior to Happy Days can be considered to have an episode which "jumped the shark" this would be that episode of Wild Wild West. Dr. Loveless was a great recurring character, and you knew to expect some zany, anachronistic stuff when he showed up, but this went too far.

The evil doctor invents a powder which shrinks the captured James West (but for some reason not Artemus Gordon), and an Indian princess, played by the decidedly un-Indian Phyllis Newman, so he can toy with West for a while before putting his plan of shrinking the whole world into effect. Loveless makes a point of mentioning how his companion, Antoinette, has made a special small suit of clothing for the tiny Jim, so he wouldn't be running around in the buff I suppose (surprising since Robert Conrad usually managed to get out of his shirt at least once every episode), but late in the story when Jim is given the antidote to the shrinking powder, miraculously the clothes he is wearing grow too! Same for the princess!

While there are more foolish episodes, this one was pretty hard to get through, though there are some decent fights and special effects.
