Linda McCullough returns as Barbarino's girl Sally
"The Barbarino Blues" opens with Vinnie worried about his girl Sally (Linda McCullough, introduced in "Don't Come Up and See Me Sometime"), figuring he should break up with her before she starts to get serious. Sally is the one who breaks the news that she's met someone else to Barbarino, a humiliation perpetrated right in front of the Sweathogs. Washington suggests that Vinnie's smelling salts must be the result of bottling Epstein's gym locker! Barbarino's depression finds him unable to leave his apartment, drinking from a paper bag and putting on a very funny drunk act despite the fact that it's actually root beer! He and Sally meet up at the malt shop, where she confesses that she wants to see him again. Linda McCullough would return for a third and final time in "Bride and Gloom."
