Is 'Jason' Going To Be A Part Of This Show?
19 November 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This was a rare occurrence: a character from the previous week being in this episode, too.....and it was not a two-part story. It's just that young "Jason" (Wright King) had followed "Josh Randall" (series star Steve McQueen)to a nearby town, still hoping to be his partner in the "bounty hunter" business.

Jason and Josh wind up in a big gunfight at a corral but Josh, as fans of this series know, is not a guy to have partners. He works alone, so what will happen to Josh? I don't know. It's left in the air at the end, but you know Josh isn't thrilled with the kid even though he's pretty good at what he does.

I see on the cast list here that fairly-famous movie actor Richard Farnsworth, billed here as "Dick Farnsworth" was in this episode but, frankly, I don't remember seeing or hearing him. He must have had a very small role.

The main thing is, at least for us viewers, that this is another well-written, well-acted episode. This series certainly has kept it's high standards as it slowly winds down in the Second Season. There would be one more year, a third, and then McQueen would go on to bigger and better things as big-time movie star. Meanwhile, he did himself proud cutting his teeth on this TV western.
