In Lauring, New Mexico a local man Kinch enters the bank and asks to see the bank president, Mr. Walker. After the secretary okays it, Kinch enters to show Walker a letter. The letter is to Tom Whiteside from his brother Clay. Walker sends for Josh and when he arrives offers him $50 a week plus expenses for five weeks to accompany Walker to Banner, Texas to arrest Clay Whiteside. Whiteside held up the bank and was sentenced to prison for it but escaped before he was sent to prison. Sensing there was more to it, Walker under questioning from Josh also admits Whiteside killed his son before that. Josh agrees to the job but before he leaves, Mrs. Walker stops by his hotel room to talk to Josh. She wants him to bring her husband back alive but she tells him the killing of her son was not Clay's fault although he did commit the robbery. Their son was spoiled during his upbringing and not very nice to others. On the trip Walker falls sick but tells Josh that Whiteside had a distinctive ... Written by Anonymous
