Josh Randall Turns 'Detective', 3 November 2007
8/10
Author: ccthemovieman-1 from Lockport, NY, United States

A man puts up wanted posters.....of himself! Josh can't believe it, either, and follows him into a bar to find out what this is all about. In a conversation with the man, Randall is told the story, that the man was found unconscious in Prescott, was taken in by a family, attended to by a doctor and has no recollection of who he is or where he's from. Since then, he's been trying to find out, with the latest idea being the wanted posters.

Josh, because he needs the money, agrees to take the man up on his "wanted poster" and help find out his identity. In no time they get a clue when another tries to ambush the amnesiac and is killed for his efforts. Josh finds a telegraph note in the man's pockets, something to the effect about "a warrant." The telegram is from Dade City, Wyoming.

Randall and the mystery man head up there and more trouble starts. The amnesiac winds up in jail and then Josh heads to another place to find out more, turning into a real detective. That's what makes this episode good; Randall's "Sherlock Holmes" role of questioning people, following leads and getting to the truth. It gets wrapped up a little too fast, but that's understandable considering it's only a 25-minute show.
