Will realizes Merv stole the horse so as they start to argue about it, they notice the Apache Charley Red Cloud walking toward them. He accuses Merv of not only taking the horse but stealing his furs. Merv tries to deny it but Charley knocks both men down and rides off on his horse. Merv gets up but Will is still out so Merv pulls his revolver to shoot Will. Later, Josh is successfully playing cards in the local saloon. The owner Myra is with him when Merv walks in to see Josh. 'Tonto' Is Back!!
16 October 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

"The Lone Ranger" had ended its long run on television two years earlier, so who's a guest actor on this week's episode? Jay Silverheels, the one-and-only "Tonto," partner of the famous "Lone Ranger." Silverheels, obviously typecast, played in a number of television westerns throughout the 1960s, too.

Here, he plays "Charley Red Cloud," a man framed for shooting someone. The guy who ups the ante $1.500 for "Josh" (Steve McQueen) to go into Apache territory and retrieve Charley is the real killer, having shot the man in the back. He is "Will Bascom" (James Chandler) and he covers his tracks by having a friend go with him to intercept Randall if he is successful. The idea is to kill him and the Indian, who is the only one who knows the truth.

How Josh handles the whole situation is most of the story. It was good to see Silverheels and to hear his distinctive voice and accent, once again
