Josh rode hard and fast to reach the Albright Ranch based on an assignment offer of $1000. Damon Albright is glad to see he arrived so quickly as Josh asks what the job is. Damon responds that he wants Josh to marry his daughter at which point Josh is poised to leave until Damon pushes on with his request. Fifteen years earlier the Apaches under Victorio raided his ranch killing his wife and stealing his daughter Doris who was raised as an Apache princess. Damon has sent two men to reclaim her but they did not return. Based on information from the trader Yanqui Jones who has seen his daughter it is time for her to marry under Apache law. A Stupid Episode
13 November 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Every once in a while, a goofy episode comes along....and this is one of them. Josh is hired, for $1,000, to go to a nearby Apache tribe and marry someone. The idea is for him to get the woman back to her original father, "Mr Albright," (Patrick McVey). He's the man who has hired Randall for the job. Two others in the past had failed but Mr. Albright is "man enough" to be successful at this. The woman had been abducted by the Indians when she was three and the father wants his daughter back. He figures if she gets married, the groom can bring her out of the reservation and back to him and since Apache law doesn't apply to the white man's territory, Josh won't be bound by the marriage. This is the time to do it because the Apache have three days of peace and love (Woodstock?) and will be in a good mood. I told you this one was sappy. Albright's helper, "Yanqui Jones," (Than Wyenn), an Indian trader, goes along with Josh. The two encounter a somewhat-hostile party waiting for them, including the woman, now named "White Antelope" (Lori Nelson) who speaks perfect English, has makeup and a new perm despite being raised by Apaches and living in a tepee. She almost looked like June in "Leave It To Beaver." How Josh goes about trying to solve the situation, you'll have to see, but it's not one of the better episodes, albeit a change of pace from the norm. Women might like this one.
