I never thought I'd cry......
hmoika11 August 2020
Now I'm watching the sixth season with my DVDs. I've always cried at the end of the episode that marks the return of Ellen Corby...the last episode of the sixth season.

However, while watching the episodes from this season, I could never imagine I would see another episode/another scene that would bring tears to my eyes. By this time, the show had begun to slip.....as all shows must do sooner or later.

But the last scene in The First Casualty, with Erin and her father John......wow. The scene was so warm and yet powerful and well done. While the narration by Hamner took over, I could feel the tears; and at the closing (with all family members in their beds, except for Erin), I was just about over the edge.

Then the closing theme began, and my water works really got going.

I'm so grateful that I was able to let go and have a good cry yet again; thanks to The Waltons.
