The show delivers a story of family and vengeance. While a kind-hearted Dallas judge is setting up a camping trip for some children, with the hope of rekindling a connection with his own granddaughter, there is danger growing. The danger comes in the form of an escaped convict and his posse, seeking revenge. They follow the activities of the judge who sentenced the leader of this posse. Meanwhile, the judge is attempting to patch things up with his granddaughter Katie. While Katie hates being on the trip, her friend Cindy enjoys the trip and tries to encourage Katie to give the trip and her grandfather a chance. Meanwhile, Walker and Trivette investigate the case the escape convict and eventually track him down in time to stop him from killing the judge and ADA, Alex, and old C.D. Parker who also joined the trip. By the time the rangers arrive, the judge is close to being lynched.
