Wes Varney injures his ankle when his horse throws him and runs away. After a few days he is found by Roger and Nancy Bigelow nearly dead. Roger is a man with a violent temper who has turned to the ministry to control it. Although Wes had threatened to kill Roger for his horse, Roger and Nancy take care of him nursing him back to health. Adams and his men recognize Wes as an outlaw although they are unsure if he is still wanted. Over time Roger tries to change Wes's attitude by showing complete faith in Wes including letting him know where Roger stores $1000 for a new church. Once Wes heals, he makes a pass at Nancy knowing she will tell Roger. When Roger confronts Wes, Wes knocks out Roger stealing the money and Roger's best horse Prince. Adams tracks Wes down bringing him and the money back to Roger. Roger lies saying he gave Wes the money and horse to keep Adams from locking up Wes hoping he can still change Wes. Wes once again takes off on foot and Nancy can't find the money. ... Written by Anonymous
