This episode refers to the holiday as both Armistice Day and Veteran's Day. Bailey Quarters tries to verify which is correct. Armistice Day was the original name instituted at the end of WW1. Around the end of WW2, the name was changed to Veteran's Day.
The aerial scenes for the episode were shot in and around Cincinnati. With the exception of exterior establishing shots, this was the only time the show actually shot in the city where it takes place. There were originally plans for an entire episode to be shot in Cincinnati for the third season premiere, but a strike by the Screen Actors Guild prevented it. Richard Sanders and Michael Fairman were given a special SAG waiver for the shoot since they were also the writers of the episode. The rest of the episode was shot later on the regular sets.
