Trivia

The incongruous cameo by Colleen Camp as herself may be explained by the fact that Camp and Richard Sanders both appeared in the movie Valley Girl (1983) around the same time. See more »

Poor Girl
20 October 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

i was surprised to see Colleen Camp on an Episode of this. and even more so when she mentioned the name of her new movie opening that Friday, one of my favorite movies "They All Laughed" I was curious to see when the episode aired in relation to the release of the movie in relation to when Stratten was killed. I thought it was cool to see a movie that was so widely avoided when released, promoted on a big TV show. Les Nesman Nor Colleen Camp mentioned the surrounding tragedy of the film, which led me to mistakenly believe that it hadn't happened yet. Stratten murdered August 14th, 1980 Movie release date August 14th, 1981 (probably in honor of her) WKRP episode aired January 6th, 1982 Where Ms Camp says "It opens in Cincinnatti on Friday..." the episode was probably filmed a month or so before, before the "Wide Release" of They All Laughed. I doubt it would have been in the best interest for Camp or the Character of Nesman to bring up the tragedy
