- [doing his regular morning broadcast, Johnny has just misintroduced Carl Perkins' "Blue Suede Shoes" as Elvis Presley's version]
- Dr. Johnny Fever: [on the air while Blue Suede Shoes is still playing] Ah, it's not Elvis Presley, uh, I'm wrong. It's Carl Perkins, uh, Carl Perkins wrote Blue Suede Shoes and he recorded it and released it about a month before Elvis' version. Uh, Elvis copied him a lot, and you can hear that, or you could hear it if I wasn't talking on top of the record.
- [Andy, Herb and Mr. Carlson, alone in the office with Johnny, just tried to talk Johnny into being his famous Rip Tide persona on the air at WKRP, about which Johnny was incensed]
- Andy Travis: [to Johnny] I just want to say that it was the Program Director in me talking, it wasn't me.
- [Johnny acknowledges Andy's apology]
- Herb Tarlek: [staring deep into Johnny's eyes believing that Rip Tide has taken over Johnny's body] John... Same here. It wasn't Herb talking, it was the Sales Manager.
- Arthur Carlson: [approaching the group as he addresses Johnny] Well, yeah, uh, I guess all eight of us are in agreement.
- [last lines]
- Dr. Johnny Fever: [knock on dressing room door] Come in.
- [Avis enters]
- Dr. Johnny Fever: Well, I... assume I'm no longer under contract?
- Avis Dropkin: [scoffs] No problem.
- Dr. Johnny Fever: Great. I hope we can be friends.
- Avis Dropkin: [holds up hand] Can I say something?
- Dr. Johnny Fever: Sure.
- Avis Dropkin: I never want to see you again.
- Dr. Johnny Fever: [shakes his head] Is that all?
- Avis Dropkin: That's all.
