More aliens, this time jungle aliens, who wish to take over the earth with the help of submarine Seaview! This episode actually contains inside footage of the Seaview with jungle growth all over it...and guys with guns running all over place taking it all very seriously.

I love the Lost In Space-ish teaser with the tiny jungle aliens turning into man-size jungle aliens, then the leader almost looks into the camera, great music playing over all of this bit, then the Voyage theme music plays. When they call Irwin Allen a showman they mean he was able to do silly scenes like this but make these scenes look and sound so good on film. But many viewers can't see the child-like magic in these bits, these bits just go over the head of some viewers?

This episode contains good miniature effects of the Seaview entering the Savage Jungle, but the series has now done more than 100 episodes and we have now seen so many good miniature effects of the Seaview...it now takes more than a bit of jungle to thrill us.
