Elizabeth is blinded by a stagecoach accident. She is found by Ben Oakes who wanted to kill Trampas who had to miss the stage. Ben tries to help her home but becomes lost. After they are found, She is in love with the conflicted Ben.

Storyline

Ben Oakes is out to kill Trampas for killing his brother during a bank robbery. He has been pushed into the situation by his friend Jed Cooper with whom he spent five years in prison for the bank robbery. Trampas and Elizabeth are in Hanna where she is buying clothes and he is waiting for baler parts. Elizabeth leaves on the stage for Medicine Bow but Tramapas is forced to stay to inspect the parts. Ben tracks the stage he assumes Trampas is on but the stage wrecks killing everyone but Elizabeth who is blinded. Ben finds her and she convinces him to help her return to Shiloh but they become lost in the mountains when he tries a shortcut and horseless until The Virginian and David finds them. Elizabeth uses Ben as a crutch during her blindness but also falls in love with him. However, Ben is planning to kill Trampas when he arrives and then leave so initially he tries to avoid Elizabeth. Ben's friend Jed Cooper arrives at Shiloh slightly wounded after a bank robbery attempt in Hanna ... Written by Anonymous
