Before Charles Bickford became a regular and purchased the Shiloh ranch he did
this guest star appearance as a neighbor with two spoiled rotten kids.
One of them Joan Freeman shoots a Shiloh steer for fun and James Drury kicks her off Shiloh. She responds by coming over to Shiloh and setting the barn on fire, horses inside.
She's also shot in the back and dies while fleeing. Charles Aidman who shot her had no idea who it was. Which makes no difference to Bickford or his son Carl Reindel.
I only wish we could have seen more of Joan Freeman who really steals this episode. Her spoiled and vicious daughter is on par with such big screen brats as Ann Blyth from Mildred Pierce and Martha Vickers from The Big Sleep. I wish we had more of her in the story.
