  • Geraldine mentions wanting Simon's testicles on a skewer after he abandons her.
  • Alice says that she and Hugo have played 'hide the purple parsnip' as a euphemism for sex.
  • Some of the villagers discuss the morals of premarital sex, with Owen suggesting that Hugo and Alice must have been 'at it like rabbits'. Hugo says that they 'certainly ate a lot of carrots together'.
  • When David describes Geraldine's fling with Simon as 'willy nilly', Owen makes comments about it being completely the wrong expression (using 'willy' as a slang word for penis.)
  • Alice believes that premarital sex makes 'all your bits drop off'.
  • Alice mentions being naked with Hugo, much to Geraldine's disgust.
  • When Simon phones up asking about availability, Geraldine mentions having a hole available.
  • After waiting for some time for Geraldine to join him in bed, Simon comes down the stairs in only a dressing gown, causing the villagers to realise what's going on.
  • Owen says that he believes in sex before marriage, adding that it's the only way he would've had any.
  • When turning down an invitation from David because of Simon coming round, Geraldine says that she'll be working on her 'Simon', before correcting herself to 'sermon'. She adds that the topic of it will be 'Sermon on the Mount', an innuendo for what she actually has planned.
  • Having come out as gay in the previous series, Frank admits to being attracted to Owen.
  • Several innuendos during Simon's phone call to Geraldine, such as melting.
  • David says that he is having 'good old fashioned pork' for Sunday lunch, to which Geraldine says that she'll probably be having that the night before, a reference to her being with Simon.
  • Geraldine asks Alice how things are in the bedroom, to which she says that they 'couldn't figure out what went in where', but she turns out to be referring to furniture.
  • On learning that Geraldine is planning to have sex with Simon, Jim asks if they need any condoms, saying that he always carries a few with him in case he 'gets lucky'.
  • Jim say that if Simon can't satisfy Geraldine sexually then he'll have a go.

Violence & Gore

  • A man is mentioned to have shot himself.
  • Alice playfully hits David on the backside.
  • A slight tussle when Alice attempts to eavesdrop on Geraldine's phone call with Simon, which culminates in Geraldine holding Alice to the wall by her throat for the rest of the conversation. This is purely slapstick.
  • Alice gives a graphic description of what she believes happens in Hell, such as pneumatic drills to the brain.
  • Simon gets hit in the face with a tree branch.
  • Geraldine slaps Owen round the face for having a particularly rude word on his list of favourite words.

  • Owen shows Geraldine a list of his favourite words, asking which ones he can use in polite society. The words themselves aren't mentioned, but she rules almost all of them out.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is stated to have been 'gloomy for some time' after being driven to suicide.
  • Geraldine jumps into a puddle, but it turns out to be much deeper than anticipated and she sinks up to her neck. Played for laughs.
