Trivia
Adam Kaufman plays André in this episode. In an attempt to keep the struggling show on the air after its third season, creator
Rob Thomas filmed an extended pitch for the fourth season that advances the show's timeline considerably. Instead of being a college undergraduate, as she was at the end of season three, in the spec season four, Veronica has graduated from college and the FBI Academy and is starting her first day as a FBI agent. Although the pitch contained (except for Veronica) a whole new cast of heretofore unseen characters (and therefore actors), one of the new characters was a fellow FBI agent played by Adam Kaufman. This was a completely different character from the one-off appearance he made in this episode.

Quotes
Veronica:
Did you hear something last night?
Keith:
What kind of something?
Veronica:
Like a loud thump from upstairs
Keith:
I don't know. But you know me, I can sleep through an earthquake. Why?
Veronica:
I don't know. It sounded like a falling body. It really freaked me out.
Keith:
A falling body?
Veronica:
Yes, a falling body.
Keith:
Would you describe the sound as "Hitchcockian"?
Veronica:
I'm glad you're able to entertain yourself.
Keith:
Oh, sweetie, don't sell yourself short. I find you completely entertaining.
