Cylinder Dreams of a Forsaken Orphan

Warning: Spoilers
This is a classic episode and one that I always remember fondly. I laughed out loud a bunch of times.

The unholy Cylinder of Fantasies that Dr Venture has constructed is a great way to introduce us to their new tenant Dr Orpheus. Orpheus is concerned that there is something evil afoot in regards to the contraption so he is drawn to investigate.

It turns out that the dream device is somehow powered using the heart of an orphan child. Hilarious and a great way to highlight how callous Dr Venture can be in his pursuit of money or personal masturbatory pleasures.

Dr Orpheus is such a fabulous character. His every utterance is steeped in gravitas. It's a joy just to listen to the character make his pronouncements, whether they are meaty or mundane.

Triana is introduced and Dean is instantly enamoured with her. The homeschooled weirdo that he is, he goes off and has his own fantasy (sans cylinder) and starts making out with his hand. We also learn the boys are educated in a special box (which he earnestly tells Triana having an adorable lack of self awareness about how odd their upbringing is).

I just love the story of this episode and the memorable characters it introduces to the show.
