The foul-mouthed (and newly divorced) Skip Franklin - "Uncle Skip," as Willie and Mark know him - returns to visit the Hogans. After spilling out his recent problems (as usual, lacing it with minor profanity) to Michael and Sandy, he decides to sort out his problems by taking his plane for a little ride. He invites Michael and David along. Things go fine for awhile, until the engine stalls and everyone is forced to bail out. Everyone is safe, but just before they have to go before the Federal Aviation Association to talk about what happened, Skip lets slip that the gauges weren't working. He considers it to be "minor," but airline pilot Michael is furious, especially since he and David could have been killed, and says he'd refuse to lie to him in court. But things turn out well, as Skip admits what really happened and takes responsibility. Written by
Did You Know?
Look, it's over. Where I come from you put your troubles behind you and ya move on.
You are doing one heck of a job of it. In the last thirty-six hours you have lost your plane, maybe your right to fly, and possibly your best friend.
I've had better days.
