This is the third and final appearance Bill Baldwin makes in the series. Each appearance puts him in a minor role just as he is here: an announcer/commentator, a role that capitalizes on his storied career on radio as war correspondent during WWII and a radio program announcer. He even performed as fight announcer and/or commentator in three of the Rocky franchise movies: Rocky (1976), Rocky II (1979), and Rocky III (1982). His two other appearances in The Untouchables (1959) include Ring of Terror (1961) and Mr. Moon (1961).
The scene of the car exploding into flames at the raid on the nightclub is the same footage used in The Underground Railway (1959) from season 1.
This is the only appearance Jean Carson makes in this series. She is perhaps best remembered for her recurring role as Daphne, the deep-voiced playgirl with a thing for Andy, in The Andy Griffith Show (1960).
When Eliot Ness says to Sylvia Orkins, "If you stick us, we bleed," he is a paraphrasing William Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice" in which the character Shylock asks in Act 3, Scene 1, "If you prick us, do we not bleed?"
