Storyline

In the Gypsy quarter of Chicago, drunkenness is taking its toll in fights and killings. The local community elders, known as the Senate, want to bring it to an end but come into conflict with Janos Colescou, owner of much of the illicit liquor distribution in the area. He kills the head of the Senate, Victor Bartok and when the opposition continues, kills his brother Fedor. Throughout, Colescou has revived an old custom of posting his victims name on an old tree in the neighborhood. For Ness and his men, the goal is to try to bring Colescou out into the open and for that they get help from Victor Bartok's daughter Magda. She tells him that Colescou has personal reasons for wanting to get rid of the Bartoks. Written by garykmcd

The Gypsies take care of their own
12 December 2013 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

This episode of The Untouchables finds Robert Stack and his team investigating the sale of some really raunchy rot gut liquor in the gypsy quarter of Chicago. Gypsies for centuries have distilled their own wines but this is really bad bathtub stuff and obviously distributed by someone who truly doesn't care about the consequences to them.

That someone is Charles Bronson who also has a big score to settle with the Bartok family, the family that are like the Cartwrights in that part of Chicago. Two of them are killed and he's out to make it a clean sweep by killing the last Bartok Barbara Luna.

Earning their trust is next to impossible for any outsider. That's Stack's biggest hurdle on this case.

Bronson is one nasty piece of work in this story. Definitely a must for his fans.
